What are Dental Bridges?
A dental bridge is a dental appliance used to bridge a gap in your teeth. It replaces a gap caused by the absence of one or more teeth. A bridge is generally made up of two or more dental crowns on either side of the gap. These teeth anchor one or more dental implants, or even your existing natural teeth; taking the place of your missing teeth. Restoring your once beautiful smile to its former glory!
Depending on the number of missing teeth, as well as the size and look of your surrounding teeth, a dental bridge is custom-made to fit an individual patient’s missing teeth. Bridges are also made to mimic and replicate the look and texture of natural teeth, and are almost impossible to distinguish from natural teeth. They perfectly replicate the contour and edges of natural teeth insuring that patients have a proper, natural looking “bite”, for both upper and lower teeth.
Porcelain Bridges
Porcelain Bridges are far more aesthetically appealing, and cannot be removed by patients.
In order to best replicate natural teeth, modern bridges are made from porcelain and a combination of materials, even gold allows to hold them together. Porcelain provides the best color and texture, similar to natural teeth.
